Everyone Has A Story

Posted by rangga on Thursday, November 8, 2007

Everyday I am blessed to receive inspiring
emails of human trials and triumphs that move
me to tears. I am continually reminded of how
fragile life is and the importance of making
good alkaline lifestyle and dietary choices.

I would like to share with you two emails
from a man named Frank, that I hope will inspire
you or a loved one to make better alkaline lifestyle
and dietary choices. My hope is that you will
embrace and live the pH Miracle lifestyle and diet
so that you might enjoy the blessings of incredible
health, energy and vitality, free from all sickness
and dis-ease.

In love and healing light,

Dr. Robert O. Young

===================================================

Dear Dr. Young,

Good morning and thank you for your reply and your
kind words. You can absolutely share my story with
the community, but as you were reading my email,
here's what you did not know and I want to go back
around three years ago to set it up and share it with
you. It is pertinent and an important health lesson
for people out there to understand. Everyone has a
story.

Three years ago I was laid off from my job as a
supervisor at Brookhaven National Laboratory.
Having a house, bills, and child support to come
up with every month I had to either look for a job
in the same line of work or change my career.
Ironically three months came and went and my
ex-wife who was having health problems with her
digestive system was admitted into the hospital.
She was bleeding and had around three cups of
blood a day from her rectum. She was diagnosed
with IBS, irritable bowel syndrome.

I will never forget being told that she may not
make it off the table, because she became septic
after her first operation and had t be rushed in
again for an emergency surgery. I decided that I
wanted to bring my two girls who were about 8 and
11 at the time, to come up and see her; quite
possibly for the last time. It was then and there
that I decided to pursue to sign up and study to
become a RN, I wanted to make a difference.

Long story short, fast forward to today: she has
had approx. 17 operations and over millions of
dollars in bills; with each operation a piece of
her digestive system removed. Her journey went
from a community hospital, to Stony Brook Hospital,
to L.I. Jewish Hospital and then to the Cleveland
Clinic Hospital, the #2 rated hospital for this
kind of condition, when after the head doctor at
L.I. J said that he couldn't help her. She has
been in and out of the hospital for three years
now and at times for months at a time. The operations
consisted of removing her colon, giving her an
ilieostomy bag, creating a J-pouch out of her
intestines, having that not heal properly and
after becoming septic again, having that removed.
Her intestines were wasting.

And yesterday, September 25, nearly three years
later she had a major surgery and has been in
the hospital for two months now. The doctors had
to go in again and hopefully find where she was
seeping out from and stop it or remove other parts
of her small intestine. The doctor in charge told
her to pray. I guess even to doctor's there is a
place where science ends and God begins. Anyway,
she had all of her small intestines removed and
has to be on TPN her whole life now, the doctors
"think" she had Chrohns dis-ease. She is not even
40 years old!

So why did I tell you all this? Simple. Your email
this morning, "How To Protect Against A Cancerous Colon."
My wife's illness could of been prevented. Our
lifestyle and the foods we eat were killing us.
It was an amazing coincidence that this morning
I opened up your email and there were my answers.

Get to the children early. Teach them that whenever
you eat something, your body looks at it and will
use it to metabolize for the nourishment to sustain
life or be used for its abuse. Use or abuse, one or
the other, and we are the gatekeepers. Our immune
system is working 24/7 to fight the foreign substances
in our food! Our bodies systems are all working hard
to get us back in balance, and hopefully it will, and
if it doesn't, it is when we get sick and have health
problems. Do the lifestyle change now and help
yourselves to be healthy.

I want to again thank you for all your important
information and for your work and also for
instructing me on how to live healthy. One day next
year I plan to come and do the three day retreat
and come out to see you.

Be well,

Frank

=====================================================

Dear Frank:

Thank you for your email and for standing up for the truth.
Congratulations for becoming an RN and your desire to help
people with their health.

I also want to thank you for your sincere desire to share
the pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet.

Please share with the middle school children that a
healthy body is alkaline body and a sick body is an
acidic body and the foods that heal and the foods that
kill.

All of this information is updated in our latest
book, The pH Miracle for Weight Loss.

I hope this helps. Let me know if there is anything else
I can do.

Kindest regards,

Dr. Robert O. Young

=========================================================

Dear Dr. Young,

I am a senior nursing student and am graduating
this December and plan to continue my studies and
specialize in anesthesia as a CRNA in the years
ahead. I also am a avid believer in the power of
proper nutrition and your work and wish that
people would respect their bodies so that they
can avoid the hospital altogether. I have applied
the pH Miracle to my life, lost 30 pounds in 30
days a little over 2 1/2 years ago and kept it
off as well as eliminating my joint pain and
helping me understand what exactly is going on
in the body as we metabolize and utilize foods.

The reason for my email is that myself and 9
other students in my clinical group are doing a
presentation to middle school students on the
importance of proper nutrition to combat obesity,
diabetes, coronary heart disease, hypertension,
digestive problems and inflammation and I would
like to include information regarding the pH miracle.
And because I am a "nut" when it comes to nutrition
they chose me to do the presentation with their
help of course. I plan to show visuals as part of
the presentation, such as showing them the amount
of sugar an average child eats, what 10 lbs of fat
looks like, as well as some graphic pictures
(within reason) of people who have let themselves
go and are hospitalized because of poor nutritional
behavior.

As part of informational items, i would like to show
pictures of your photos which you have on the web
regarding your blood analysis. I want to particularly
focus and show what blood looks like from a diabetic,
obese, cancer and client with digestive problems.

May I use them or could you supply me with some other
photos from your microscopy course which really would
be beneficial.

I also would like to show them and tell them about
the pH Miracle and would like to bring a little fish
tank in (with one of those little plastic fishes that
move around) to teach them your fishbowl metaphor.
Please let me know if you can help out in anyway.

It is so frustrating during this course to have to
listen to the professors stressing the food pyramid
and to educate our clients with the pyramid. At my
last teaching project presentation in front of my
class I basically tore it up and said it was garbage,
only to see my instructors look at me like deers in
the headlight. I pointed out that isn't it amazing
that the body hasn't changed but the pyramid changes
every 5 years depending on what industry wants to
lobby harder. I also showed several food pyramids
from different countries, anyway you get my point.

After I become a RN I will stress proper nutrition
to my patients and teach them to question old
paradigms, turn off American idol, the reality shows
and get into the reality show of their own life and
the reality that they need to respect their bodies,
avoid hospital stays and become educated on what
makes their body tick.

Well I thank you for your time and I hope you can help.

Be well and God Bless you and your family,

Keep up the good work.

Frank

Fasting May Reduce Your Risk For CAD

Posted by rangga on Wednesday, November 7, 2007

Foregoing food for a day each month stood out
among other religious practices in members of
the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints
(LDS or Mormons), who have lower rates of heart
dis-ease than other Americans, researchers reported
at the American Heart Association’s Scientific
Sessions 2007.

“People who fast seem to receive a heart-protective
benefit, and this appeared to also hold true in
non-LDS people who fast as part of a health-conscious
lifestyle,” said Benjamin D. Horne, Ph.D., M.P.H.,
study author and director of cardiovascular and
genetic epidemiology at Intermountain Medical Center
and adjunct assistant professor of biomedical
informatics at the University of Utah in
Salt Lake City.

In the 1970s, scientists recognized that
Latter-Day Saints (LDS) in Utah are less likely
to die of heart dis-ease than other Utah residents
and Americans overall. The religious prohibition
against tobacco use is usually credited for the
health benefit, but researchers wondered whether
other religious teachings also may be important.

Researchers first examined the records of the
Intermountain Heart Collaborative Study registry
comprised of patients who had undergone coronary
angiography, an X-ray examination of the blood
vessels of the heart to look for blockages,
between 1994 and 2002. Of those patients, 4,629
men and women, average age 64, could clearly be
diagnosed either with coronary artery disease
(CAD) — which is at least 70 percent narrowing or
blockage detected in at least one artery, or as
free of significant CAD — less than 10 percent
narrowing or blockage. As expected, CAD was less
prevalent in patients who identified their religious
preference as LDS than those who stated another or
no religious preference. Sixty-one percent of LDS
members had CAD versus 66 percent of others.

“When we adjusted for smoking, or looked just at
the nonsmokers, we still found a lower rate of
CAD in people having an LDS religious preference,”
Horne said. “We thought this was very interesting,
so we devised a survey about other behaviors
associated with LDS that might bring a health benefit.”

In the second part of the study, 515 patients
(average age 64) who underwent coronary angiography
between 2004 and 2006, completed a survey that
included religious preference as well as several
specific practices encouraged by the LDS church:
not smoking; fasting (abstaining from food and
drink for two consecutive meals); not drinking tea,
coffee or alcohol; observing a weekly day of rest;
attending worship services; and donating time,
goods or money to charity.

Of this group, those who fasted were significantly
less likely to be diagnosed with CAD (59 percent
had 70 percent or greater blockage) than those who
did not fast (67 percent had 70 percent or greater
blockage).

“Fasting was the strongest predictor of lower heart
disease risk in the people we surveyed. About 8
percent of the people who fasted did not express
an LDS religious preference, and they also had
less coronary disease,” Horne said.

Patients who did not drink tea were also less
likely to be diagnosed with CAD, but once fasting
was considered the finding wasn’t significant,
Horne noted.

Fasting was associated with lower odds of being
diagnosed with CAD by 39 percent. When the researchers
compared only those diagnosed with CAD with those
who had minimal or no coronary disease (less
than 10 percent blockage), the impact of fasting
was even more striking, with the odds of a CAD
diagnosis being lower by 45 percent.

“When you abstain from food for 24 hours or so,
it reduces the constant exposure of the body to
foods and glucose,” he said. “One of the major
problems in the development of the metabolic
syndrome and the pathway to diabetes is that
the insulin-producing beta cells become
desensitized. Routine fasting may allow them to
resensitize — to reset to a baseline level so
they work better.”

The researchers looked separately at people
with diabetes, who are not encouraged to skip
meals, and found the same association of
fasting and healthier arteries in both those
with diabetes and those without diabetes.

“One exciting thing is that the study could
be replicated in the general population and
in other locations in the United States,
including people without an LDS preference
who fast for various philosophical or health
reasons,” Horne said.

The study is limited because it is not a
randomized or controlled trial, and it only
includes people who had sufficient symptoms
to undergo coronary angiography, the gold
standard assessment for CAD. Also, there
could be other factors associated with
fasting that are the actual causes of the
reduced degree of coronary stenosis seen
in this study.

"Bottom line when you reduce an acidic lifestyle
and diet you simply reduce your risk for CAD,
and when you eliminate an acidic lifestyle and
diet you eliminate your risk for CAD,"
according to Dr. Robert O. Young, a research
scientist at the pH Miracle Living Center.

The pH Miracle for Diabetes is 100% Effective in ALL Case Studies

Posted by rangga on Sunday, November 4, 2007

The following is an unsolicited testimony on
significant changes in blood sugar, weight,
pulse, A1C, and blood pressure when following
the pH Miracle for Diabetes Lifestyle and Diet.

Based on my own clinical research on diabetes I
have found that increasing fluid alkalinity
and reducing tissue acidity will lower blood
sugars and A1C, improve blood pressure and
pulse and help reduce excess acidic weight in
100% (Yes I said 100%!) of ALL Type I and
Type II diabetics.

My hope is that the pH Miracle for Diabetes
will stop being a secret and will become
the foundation for a cure for the millions
of diabetics around the world!

In love and healing light,

Robert O. Young Ph.D.

----------------------------------------------

Dear Dr Young:

The following results have accured since sending
you my last report. I wanted to make sure that the
pH Miracle Lifestyle and Diet was not a hype. Let
my blood sugar levels, blood pressure, pulse and
weight speak for themselves.

Date: Time Sugar Level Blood Pres Pulse Weight

10/29/07 169 mg/dl 128/66 67 ?
10/30/07 131 mg/dl 151/80 52 318 lbs
10/31/07 430AM 99 mg/dl 145/76 59 317 1/2 lbs
11/01/07 530AM 109 mg/dl 148/78 60 311 lbs
11/02/07 730AM 102 mg/dl 153/85 61 307 lbs
11/03/07 715AM 98 mg/dl 150/78 60 307 lbs
11/04/07 800AM 85 mg/dl 151/78 49 307 lbs

I went to the University Health Care Utah Diabetes
Center at 800 AM on 2 Nov 07 to keep appointment to
have my exam and blood work done. My last A1C was
8.4. Today it was 7.3. Weight was down six pounds.
My records show weight down eleven pounds. My blood
sugar showed around 116 mg/dl at the facility. The
Center inquired what I was doing to make these drastic
changes in my blood work and weight. I told them
what I had read and the theory behind it and had shown
them your book "The pH Miracle for Diabetes". They were
very impressed and wanted to get a copy. They thought
the blood pressure would go down with the weight loss.

This is what has happen to the best of my knowledge
and I thought you would like to know.

I have not used any products other than those supplements
that are listed in The pH Miracle for Diabetes.

Thank you Dr. Young.

Best regards,

Gordon Herrick

Acidic Choice is the Cause of Cancer!

Posted by rangga on Friday, November 2, 2007

Keeping slim and following an alkaline diet
are two of the best ways of preventing an
acidic cancerous state, as is avoiding excessive
amounts of acidic red meat and wine, a landmark
study has revealed.

The World Cancer Research Fund (WCRF) said the
link between body fat and cancer is closer than
generally realized.

It found convincing evidence of a link to six
types of cancer, five more than in its last report,
10 years ago.

Among the new types are colorectal (bowel) and
post-menopausal breast cancer.

Professor Michael Marmot, chair of the panel of
21 eminent scientists who compiled the report, said:
"We are recommending that people aim to be as lean
as possible within the healthy range, and that they
avoid weight gain throughout adulthood."

The report, which selected 7,000 studies from a
worldwide pool of 500,000 written since records
began in the 1960s, includes five key findings.

They are that processed acidic meats, such as ham
and bacon, increase the risk of colorectal cancer,
and should not be eaten.

Another is the link between acidic red meat and
colorectal cancer, for which the evidence is
stronger than ever. People should not eat these
acidic meats which cannot be digested or eliminated
properly.

A further finding was the strongest evidence yet
that alcohol is a cause of cancer because it is
an ACID that causes cancer.

The report recommended mothers breastfeed exclusively
for the first six months after birth followed by
complementary breastfeeding, after evidence showed
breastfeeding protects the mother against acidic
cancerous breasts.

"This report is a real milestone in the fight
against cancer, because its recommendations
represent the most definitive advice on preventing
cancer that has ever been available anywhere in
the world," said Professor Martin Wiseman, project
director of the report.

Scientists believe there are several reasons for
the link between body fat and cancer.

One is the relationship between excess fat and excess
acidic hormones in the body.

Research has shown that fat cells release acidic
hormones such as estrogen, which increases the
risk of breast cancer, while fat around the waist
causes the release of acidic growth hormones,
which can increase levels of risk.

Evidence of a link is most convincing for cancer
of the esophagus, pancreas, colorectum, endometrium
(womb), kidney and post-menopausal breast cancer.

The report makes 10 recommendations including 30
minutes of moderate activity a day, rising to 60
minutes; drinking water rather than sugary drinks;
eating fruit, vegetables and fiber.

According to Dr. Robert O. Young, a research
scientist at the pH Miracle Living Center, states,
"cancer is a disease of the fluids of the body not
the tissues of the body. When the fluids of the
body are over-acidic and cannot be eliminated through
urination, perspiration, defecation or respiratory,
they are eliminated into the fatty tissues, like the
the breast or the brain leading to a cancerous breast
or a cancerous brain."

"ALL CANCERS OF THE BODY ARE
CAUSED BY LIFESTYLE, DIETARY OR METABOLIC ACIDS!
THERE IS NO OTHER CAUSE BUT ACID! CANCER IS AN
ACIDIC LIQUID THAT SPOILS CELLS. WHEN HEALTHY CELLS
ARE SPOILED WITH ACID THE BODY WRAPS THEM IN A FIBRIN
NET CALLED A TUMOR TO PROTECT HEALTHY CELLS AND TISSUES
FORM BEING SPOILED. IT IS A BEAUTIFUL NATURAL PROCESS
OF HOW THE BODY PRESERVES ITSELF FROM INAPPROPRIATE
LIFESTYLE AND DIETARY CHOICES. THE TRUE CAUSE OF
CANCER IS ACIDIC LIFESTYLE AND DIETARY CHOICE. THE
CURE IS SIMPLE - MAKE ALKALINE LIFESTYLE AND DIETARY
CHOICES."

No More Diabetic Symptoms & No More Diabetes!

Posted by rangga on Thursday, November 1, 2007

The following is an unsolicited testimony of
a woman with high blood sugar and diagnosed
diabetes and how she reversed her symptoms.

I hope this email will help you or a loved one
understand that diabetes is not something you
get it is something that you do with lifestyle
and dietary choices.

In love and healing light,

Dr. Robert O. Young

================================================

Dear Dr. Young,

When I went to my doctor two weeks ago for a physical
I had had blood work done just before going in.
The doctor came in and said we need to have a talk.

She told me my fasting blood sugar was 265.

She proceeded to lay out a treatment plan for diabetes.

I was to go to all kinds of classes at the hospital
and she gave me a menu plan to follow. Of course the
menu was full of acidic foods. I said, "wait a minute,
give me a month to do what I know to do." She said,
"well you can do that too but I want you to get started
right away on the meds and what I tell you. I have
treated over 5000 diabetics and I know what you need
to do!"

Well, in 48 hours my blood sugar was down a hundred
points. I lost ten pounds in six days and in nine
days it was a total of twelve pounds. I listened to
your CD on diabetes and tried your suggestion of
drinking and eating greens with all kinds of sprouts.
Every time I followed your instructions my blood sugar
count went down some more.

Tonight, the pH Miracle Living Lifestyle and Diet
brought my blood sugars down to 123 - a half-hour
after drinking the green drink and eating the
sprouts.

Of course I am so happy with the results!

I called the doctor's office a few times and told
them what was happening. The office staff said they
were impressed and that they had told the doctor
what was happening and that she was also impressed.

I go back to the doctor the end of the month to have
another check-up. This will be very interesting
don't you think?

Doctors Are The Third Leading Cause of Death in the US, Causing 225,000 Deaths Every Year

Posted by rangga

This article in the Journal of the American
Medical Association (JAMA) is the best article
I have ever seen written in the published literature
documenting the tragedy of the traditional medical
paradigm.

If you want to keep updated on issues like this
sign up for my free newsletter at:

www.phmiracleliving.com

This information is a followed up of the Institute
of Medicine report which hit the papers in December
of last year, but the data was hard to reference as
it was not in peer-reviewed journal. Now it is published
in JAMA which is the most widely circulated medical
periodical in the world.

The author is Dr. Barbara Starfield of the Johns
Hopkins School of Hygiene and Public Health and she
describes how the US health care system may contribute
to poor health.

ALL THESE ARE DEATHS PER YEAR:

* 12,000 -- unnecessary surgery
* 7,000 -- medication errors in hospitals
* 20,000 -- other errors in hospitals
* 80,000 -- infections in hospitals
* 106,000 -- non-error, negative effects of drugs

These total to 225,000 deaths per year from
iatrogenic causes!!

What does the word iatrogenic mean? This term is
defined as induced in a patient by a physician's
activity, manner, or therapy. Used especially of
a complication of treatment.

Dr. Starfield offers several warnings in
interpreting these numbers:

* First, most of the data are derived from
studies in hospitalized patients.
* Second, these estimates are for deaths
only and do not include negative effects that
are associated with disability or discomfort.
* Third, the estimates of death due to error
are lower than those in the IOM report.

If the higher estimates are used, the deaths
due to iatrogenic causes would range from 230,000
to 284,000. In any case, 225,000 deaths per year
constitutes the third leading cause of death in
the United States, after deaths from heart disease
and cancer.

Even if these figures are overestimated, there is
a wide margin between these numbers of deaths and
the next leading cause of death (cerebrovascular
disease).

Another analysis concluded that between 4% and 18%
of consecutive patients experience negative effects
in outpatient settings,with:

* 116 million extra physician visits
* 77 million extra prescriptions
* 17 million emergency department visits
* 8 million hospitalizations
* 3 million long-term admissions
* 199,000 additional deaths
* $77 billion in extra costs

The high cost of the health care system is
considered to be a deficit, but seems to be
tolerated under the assumption that better
health results from more expensive care.

However, evidence from a few studies indicates
that as many as 20% to 30% of patients receive
inappropriate care.

An estimated 44,000 to 98,000 among them die
each year as a result of medical errors.

This might be tolerated if it resulted in better
health, but does it? Of 13 countries in a recent
comparison, the United States ranks an average
of 12th (second from the bottom) for 16 available
health indicators. More specifically, the ranking
of the US on several indicators was:

* 13th (last) for low-birth-weight percentages
* 13th for neonatal mortality and infant
mortality overall
* 11th for postneonatal mortality
* 13th for years of potential life lost
(excluding external causes)
* 11th for life expectancy at 1 year for
females, 12th for males
* 10th for life expectancy at 15 years
for females, 12th for males
* 10th for life expectancy at 40 years
for females, 9th for males
* 7th for life expectancy at 65 years
for females, 7th for males
* 3rd for life expectancy at 80 years
for females, 3rd for males
* 10th for age-adjusted mortality

The poor performance of the US was recently
confirmed by a World Health Organization
study, which used different data and ranked
the United States as 15th among 25 industrialized
countries.

There is a perception that the American public
"behaves badly" by smoking, drinking, and
perpetrating violence." However the data does
not support this assertion.

* The proportion of females who smoke
ranges from 14% in Japan to 41% in Denmark;
in the United States, it is 24% (fifth best).
For males, the range is from 26% in Sweden
to 61% in Japan; it is 28% in the United
States (third best).
* The US ranks fifth best for alcoholic
beverage consumption.
* The US has relatively low consumption
of animal fats (fifth lowest in men aged
55-64 years in 20 industrialized countries)
and the third lowest mean cholesterol
concentrations among men aged 50 to 70
years among 13 industrialized countries.

These estimates of death due to error are
lower than those in a recent Institutes of
Medicine report, and if the higher estimates
are used, the deaths due to iatrogenic causes
would range from 230,000 to 284,000.

Even at the lower estimate of 225,000 deaths
per year, this constitutes the third leading
cause of death in the US, following heart
disease and cancer.

Lack of technology is certainly not a
contributing factor to the US's low ranking.

* Among 29 countries, the United States
is second only to Japan in the availability
of magnetic resonance imaging units and
computed tomography scanners per million
population.
* Japan, however, ranks highest on
health, whereas the US ranks among the lowest.
* It is possible that the high use of
technology in Japan is limited to diagnostic
technology not matched by high rates of
treatment, whereas in the US, high use
of diagnostic technology may be linked
to more treatment.
* Supporting this possibility are data
showing that the number of employees per
bed (full-time equivalents) in the United
States is highest among the countries
ranked, whereas they are very low in Japan,
far lower than can be accounted for by the
common practice of having family members
rather than hospital staff provide the
amenities of hospital care.
